From the studio to the stage, Ableton Live is used to create, record, produce, and even perform music. Learn about linear and improvisational styles of producing electronic music as we help you master the software’s innovative interface.
To learn the basic concept of Ableton Live, each student will produce an original track of any genre they choose (i.e. house, techno, electro, dubstep, hip-hop, etc.). Students will learn to create their own songs consisting audio recordings, loops and samples. The course will also have an introduction to synthesizer programming, creating custom effect racks (i.e. eq, Parallel compression, side chain compression, multiband dynamics, etc.). Introduction to basic mastering techniques, DJing with Ableton Live and creating a remix/mashup.
